VW Type 1 and WBX Cylinder Head Angle Plate Fixture Kit
Machining VW heads just got easier. This angle plate fixture sets the correct valve angle for both Type 1 and WBX heads so you can work in a true perpendicular position on your mill or drill press.
Use it to
• Cut dual spring pockets
• Trim valve guides for added lift
• Machine larger valve seat pockets
• Core out valve guides
• Unshroud valves before final hand blending
The kit is laser cut from 1/4 inch HRPO mild steel and arrives as six precision parts that locate together using a tab and slot design for fast and accurate assembly. A small amount of welding is required to complete the fixture.
For flexibility in your setup, the fixture includes 16 tapped holes for fixturing in multiple positions. I have also included two threaded M8 x 1.25 x 10 mm alignment pins to help with positioning heads or repeat setups on your mill or drill press.
Once welded, the large base flange provides a stable footprint that clamps easily to any milling table or drill press.
